I highly recommend you tour the building first before signing a rental agreement.
This has the potential to be an incredible ceremony and reception site. However, at this point, it is still under construction. The owners are booking events before it is completed. If you are okay with obvious signs of construction and unfinished spaces, it might be okay for you. If you're looking for perfection in a completely finished space, is not the place for you. We'd recommend giving it a few years to be fully completed before booking.
The worst part is that there are literal holes in the floor around the decorative trees where you can see into the basement, which is a safety issue for children and beerfest-attending adults. They stapled up some black cloth to hide the holes the best they could but it would be so easy to sprain or break an ankle by walking into one of the holes.
Went here for a beer festival in 2017 and although it has some great architectural components, it's completely not finished yet. Scaffolding is against one exterior wall, foam board on another, mud in the back, etc. I would hate to have a wedding here with it in that state.
As an attendee of a non-wedding event, I have no big complaints. Everything was clean, the bathrooms were great, the staff I talked to were friendly. The area on the back side with the picnic tables was a nice touch. Yes, they still need to add some siding one, but the inside was finished - and beautiful!
Words could never do this place justice. Having our wedding here was the 2nd best decision only followed by proposing to my wife.
We attended the Rare Barrel Affair and we're so impressed with how far this venue has come. It is amazing. If you are interested just come for a visit. Just gorgeous!! Beautiful timberframe construction way above any Barn we have seen! Wish we could have had our boys weddings here!
Would have given them 5 stars, but the parking situation was a bit odd for a venue of that size.
