This trip was a complete bust
We took a family vacation to Christmas mountain. 15 of us. We had 3-3 bedrooms. I was told 3 weeks out and 1 week out that the tubing hill will be open. I checked with them the day I checked in, Thursday. I had a review on Friday, asked again at that time and was told that it would be open on Saturday. I went ahead and bought 10 tickets with the intention to tube. Then on Saturday we were told no it would not be open. Why would you tell someone 4 separate times that it will be open then not?? If I was told this in the beginning then I would of rescheduled our vacation. We talk to an employee and he stated that if we had sleds we can use them. So I went out and bought $70.00 in sled, trying to at least salvage what I could.
It was hard then
I spoke with Brad, the ski supervisor and he took me to the check in desk. All that I heard from them was denial and more denials. Why would the review desk even sell me the tickets??

I was able to refund the tickets but that is really besides the point
The check in supervisor called me later and said she could refund me 10,000 points of the 30,000 that I spent.
Check in is always smooth, friendly staff and if you have the chance to sit through a dales meeting do it...no pressure attitude!
We went to the hill, I asked in the pro shop 1 more time and she said that's fine. So we went out and start sledding. Was stopped and told to leave the hill due to it was unsafe.
The villas are nice, love the gas fireplace and grill on the screened in porch. The kitchen it teeny tiny though. The washer and dryer is upstairs. Quick drive to the indoor pool with has two slides one for toddlers one for bigger kids. Pool doesn't go over 4ft deep. Hot tub is outside... And was full of couples drinking beer with empty cans lined up next to them...so my family didn't journey out in the snow for it. We plan to ski and tube tomorrow. The staff has been fine. Some great some not. It's frustrating to have to drive across the grounds to the camp's ground in order to swap towels. It would be nice if the clubhouse was also housed in the building with the pool.
We stayed in a cabin. The cabins are wonderful. They are really cozy and good you the vacation feel. There is plenty of stuff to do all year around both on the resort and off. The outdoor hit tub is awesome, especially when it's cold outside. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. We had good recommendations for where to eat. We almost always stay at Christmas Mountain every time we visit the Dells.
Have stayed at Christmas Village several times over the years. Have enjoyed various accommodations including villas, cabins timbers and townhomes and have loved them all! Perfect place to escape the chaos of life and relax with family!
We stayed in cabin 166. Was told it was recently renovated. Very nice. 2 bedrooms - one with a queen and one with a kind sized bed. The kitchen was nice too so we could make dinner if we wanted. We had 4 adults and everyone was comfortable.
My 4 and 7 year old grandsons started crying.
