My new husband and I were married in the Dells this summer and we had the ceremony at Cold Water Canyon and the reception on the Clipper Winnebago, their dinner tour boat. Great scenery, great staff, and worth the price for any age over 5 if you ask me. Kids under 5 may not find much enjoyment in it until you get to walk through the caverns.
As a resident of Wisconsin Dells, I never tire of the beauty of our river. From the majestic pines, sandstone cliffs and the beautiful flora and fauna, this dinner cruise is awesome. The busyness of the river has subsided by evening time and the scenery is calming. . Although we got caught in a down pour and had to dine at Witches Gulch, the evening was very enjoyable. From launch to return to dock, everyone was professional. We were treated to great food, service and entertainment. This will be on our annual summer “To Do List.”
I have been on a few boat tours around this country so I can honestly say this one was just okay, assuming you've never, ever been on a boat before. We went on both the upper and lower tours. Both were too short to be worth the price. They were mundane for the most part, with one stop on the upper to get ripped off at a tourist trap and another to watch a dog jump. The lower was even more boring. I cannot recommend this attraction.
Went a couple months ago with my family. Tour guides were Ellie and Ben, I believe. (They were brother and sister) They both took turns narrating, both were enjoyable. Besides serious narrative, they both were pretty funny and loved the puns!! Great trip!
