Cool little place to check out. Staff is friendly and will explain things to you. If you're feeling like doing touristy things you can have some fun doing the mining.
Cool place with lots of great gems, crystals, and what have you. never done the 'mining' or washing bags of sand away to find gems sold right in their store haha. but I'm sure that would be fun for kids. definitely worth a quick visit!
Nice place to go if your looking for something a little different. It is still a tourist trap/money sucker. once you are done 'mining' they want to you to pay to cut the stones. Pay a fortune and it takes 6 weeks. My 3 year old loved having the rocks unfinished, so we didn't do anything but bring them home. We will do it again when we are back in the dells.
I love this place.. beautiful rocks and a friendly staff! Check it out, mining your own gems is fun and worth the experience!
